Bassett playing into the wind first half did well to stifle a very lively Liden side. Playing some good football Liden never looked dangerous and the shot count was about equal and Bassett deserved to have the 0-0 score line at half time.

Things didn't start too well in the second half with Bassett going down within a couple of minutes to a soft goal due to a mix up in defence. Playing with the wind Bassett showed what they could do with some neat football and were unlucky not to equalise on several occasions it was only some stout defending by Liden that kept the score line as it was. Liden then scored their second, it could have been game over but Bassett resolutely fought for their fair amount of possession and after a sound build up Dan Wernham curled the ball around the stranded Liden keeper. 2-1

In the last 10 minutes Liden took the upper hand and with some tired defending Bassett conceded another 3 goals.

A fair result that could have been closer, we have now played all the top 4 sides in the league so there is only one way to go that's UP !!!!!
