The first game of the season saw Wootton Bassett go down 5 goals to 1. The girls performed very well in the first half chasing down every ball and even had two good chances to score. But with one minute to go before half time they finally broke through with a good shot into the corner. The second half Swindon pressed forward for more goals and scored two more in the first 5 minutes. Wootton Bassett came back with two half chances from Hannah Coventry and Sam Wood, then the first goal for Wootton Bassett was scored by Sam Wood with a brilliant strike in to the corner. As the game came to the end, the girls tried after giving their all and let in two more goals in the final 5 minutes of the game. This was a great effort from all the girls against a very experience side.
