Bassett Under 8's control another game

The weather was fine the pitch was hard and another good turn out by the Bassett parents thank you for that.

The game was evenly contested in the first half with Westbrook having the advantage of a strong wind in their favour, there was a lot of end to end football from both teams and as a result the first half finished 2-1 to Bassett. In the second half Bassett had the wind with them and they got the upper hand and then controlled the game with not to many problems at the back with good work from Harry and Joe and good kicking with Ellis in goal. The work rate of Aaron and Jack along with good support from Ryan, Cole and Jake made the game safe early on in the second half. The Westbrook keeper had a great game and a moment in the second half the visiting player of number 8 had said he kicked the ball off so instead of a goal kick it was a corner to Bassett and in that resulting corner we scored from that, so it was an moment of sportsmanship from the Westbrook lad that lead to one of our goals so well done to him, overall a good game and Bassett controlled the game .
