Under 18s back to winning ways

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 18s returned to winning ways in the Wiltshire League Floodlit Division with a convincing 3-0 home win against Radstock Town.

James Johnson struck twice in the first half to take his tally for the season to five. Flynn Walters then netted his first of the campaign after the restart to secure all three points for Bassett and to complete a season double over Radstock, who Nick Warren's side defeated by the same score back in September.

A loss for Melksham Town at home against third place Devizes Town also sees Bassett pull back within two points of the leaders with a pair of games in hand to play.

Bassett hold an advantage of one point over Devizes, who have played the same number of games. But the teams are still due to meet at Nursteed Road, having drawn 3-3 when they met at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

With four games in total left to play - all currently set to take place in January, it's set to be a nailbiting end to the season with three teams all vying for the title.
