On Wednesday night, title chasing Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development were in action knowing that a win would take them back top of the table. Their opponents Marlborough Town were playing their final game of the season and were looking to improve on their last showing against Bassett - which had seen them beaten 7-0 at Elcot Lane - as well as to frustrate the hosts' title hopes. However, Bassett were dominant in an 8-0 win, having led 6-0 at half time.
Dale Richards, who had scored five on Saturday at Melksham, was once again amongst the goals, helping himself to another hat-trick. Leading scorer Matt Bennett bagged a brace and there were further goals from Tyler Sheppard, Mani Mesas and a first of the season from Kevin Lartey.
