11 Dec 2011 - Croft Juniors Blue (H)

1st Half We started off strong with a goal by Tom, who also had several good runs towards goal but was unfortunate that the goalkeeper or defence got in the way!!! But trying he did and it paid off as Tom got his second goal. Down the other end of the pitch, Sid made a good save and we had the solid defending skills of both Nav and James, who were both determined not to let Croft pass them.

2nd Half Croft started the stronger the side in the second half, which was proved by their goal. The boys rallied and started again with Tom, Callum, Michael, Sid, Dylan & Lewis all trying to score that next goal. They were all very unlucky that the ball didn't go into the net and it wasn't for want of trying. Dec was put under a bit of pressure when Croft tried to score another goal, but he saved it!! Then……………………….. MICHAEL GOT HIS GOAL!!!!!! A loud cheer came from the sidelines, I'm not sure Croft could understand how much that goal meant to everyone!! Well done Michael!!!!

It ended 3-1 and we can hold our heads up high as we are now 5th in our league and I'm sure Michael will be celebrating until Christmas ;-)
