Sunday 8th November 2009 - Swindon Spitfires (H)

The U13 Girls had an excellent home result on Sunday, against Swindon Spitfire's, winning 2-1. The team played hard and battled for every ball, and despite being 1-0 down at half time, scored 2 great goals in the second half to secure the win. Another very strong all round team performance with the goals coming from Julia Cooke and Ellie Kaye. Every player showed the determination to win, but particular mention goes to Chloe Willis, Amy Mathews and Felicity Talbot. Goalkeeper Shannon Fury had another excellent game, and is proving difficult to beat by even the most determined opposition. Newcomer Rachael Buchanan also played well in her first match for the team, coming on for a spell just before half time. When substituted every single player cannot wait to get back on and play, this is a team that is growing in confidence, and looks forward to the next game with relish.
