Sunday 4th October 2009 - Trowbridge Town (H)

Trowbridge Town started with putting pressure on Wootton Bassett but Bassett's defence was strong. Gradually, the game became more fast moving and Wootton Bassett had several good breaks and attempts at goal. Unfortunately, although Wootton Bassett's defence was good and the ball moved rapidly from one end of the pitch to the other, eventually Abi Morris of Trowbridge Town managed to score before half-time. In the second half Wootton Bassett battled but Eliza Thorpe of Trowbridge Town managed another goal two minutes into that half. However, Wootton Bassett then held their own and did not let their heads drop. The final score was Wootton Bassett Town 0 and Trowbridge Town 2.
