Sunday 14th September 2008 - Highworth Town Juniors 'T' (H)

The Game kicked off with Bassett attacking in full force with good wide play from George and Ben with some great penetrating runs at the Highworth Defence. Declan C was a constant threat in the penalty area, a real dynamo!

Highworth attacks were thwarted by Harry and Match Captain Beckham, who both looked like forming a good solid partnership at the back.

Bassett's goal was never far away from coming, especially with Isaac's great Goal kicking. It was only a matter of time before the midfield linked up to play in Tom who scored with a well struck shot from the edge of the penalty area. Great finish Tom!

Before Half time Matthew and Declan came on into fray and both settled in very quickly with telling contributions.

Half Time: Bassett 1-0 Highworth

The Second half mirrored the first with fast flowing attacks from Wootton Bassett meaning the Highworth keeper was kept on his toes and made a couple of good saves to keep the score line at 1-0.

It was unfortunate that the final score didn't reflect how hard Bassett worked to win this game.

Ps Honours were shared in the penalty shootout after the match. A bit more practise need by the coaches I think!
