First clean sheet of the season

Wootton Bassett started the game in a positive mood and very quickly gained the upper hand in the game. Most of the early play was carried out in the Badgers half and it wasn't long before Tim Gleed scored with a long range shot from the left wing which left the keeper with very little chance. The Badgers rallied and managed to put the Bassett team under some pressure, but this was dealt with very effectively by a very resolute back four, who were determined to foil any chance that the Badgers may have had. Bassett scored twice more before the break.

The second half was played in much the same way as the first. Bassett dominated play and it was only a fine performance from the Badgers goalkeeper that prevented the Bassett team from scoring double figures. As it was they scored 4 more in the half to win the game 7-0.

This was a very good display of passing football, highlighted by an excellent performance by the defensive back four who were determined to record the first clean sheet of the season.
