Poor performance from the Under 14's

Wootton Bassett huffed and puffed but were blown away by a well organised Shrivenham team that really should have been beaten by half time.

It seems that we always expect to play well and win games but at the moment the boys just can't produce good performances often enough. There were bright points. Ben Curtis was outstanding up front, and Craig Kelly put in his usual solid performance, but most of the rest just went through the motions

For the first 15 minutes Bassett played really well and deservedly took the lead from James Terrys shot from ten yards out. This however was as good as it got. Shrivenham upped there game and by half time we were 2 – 1 down.

After the break we did improve but fell further behind after some sloppy defending. The final 15 minutes produced a goal from Ben Curtis who cut in from the left wing and slotted the ball past the keeper. Frustratingly a third goal just wouldn't come and Shrivenham took the points.

This was a really poor performance from the Under 14's but they are capable of much better.
