A goal feast at Ballards Ash finally saw the Under 14's come out on top but only after a scare. With regular goalkeeper Jason Hudson in Florida with the Under 13's keeper, Bassett were forced to use two untried goalkeepers and both were kept busy by the visitors. Bassett led 4-1 at half-time but had a shock in the second half when Robins came back to score 4 goals and take the lead in a match Bassett should have had wrapped up. Bassett equalised to make it 5-5 only for the visitors to score again and lead 6-5. Four late goals saved Bassett's blushes against one of the sides at the wrong end of the table without a point to their name. Bassett's goals were scored by Chris Mochan 3, Tom Walkley 2, Adam Blakeman, Dan Bracey, Ben Turner and Martin Wicks (penalty).
