An excellent match as Basett ran second in the table Wroughton very close. Throughout the game Bassett played with a lot of determination and were unlucky to end up without any points. Bassett went 1-0 up through Chris Mocham just before half time. However, there was still time for Wroughton to get back on level terms with the last kick of the half.

After the break both sides continued to be equally matched but it was the visitors who took the lead. Undeterred Bassett fought back and with ten minutes to go scored two goals in a minute through Chris Mochan and Dan Bracey. With the points slipping away Wroughton pushed for an equaliser and hit lucky with an equaliser three minutes from time. It got even better for the visitors as they hit a winner again with the last kick of the game, repeating their first half ending. A harsh way to lose but this was a much improved performance from Bassett and bodes well for the rest of the season.
