Poor second half sinks Bassett U14's

An evenly poised game for the first half with both sides playing well. Anson Lewis came close to giving Bassett the lead after ten minutes when his shot just cleared the cross bar but it was Rodbourne after 28 minutes who opened the scoring only to have the scores levelled by Bassett's new signing Philip Roberts some two minutes later. Poor Bassett defending just before half time allowed Rodbourne to regain the lead and take the game to the interval 2-1 ahead. Bassett struggled in the second half and allowed the game to slip from their grasp and conceded three more goals which earned the visitors maximum points.
