Kevin Pocock and Philip Roberts both had chances to give Bassett the lead in the opening 10 minutes but it was Shaun Terry who finally broke the deadlock after 18 minutes to give Bassett the advantage but the visitors managed to draw level after 26 minutes. The Anson Lewis goal that restored Bassett's lead early in the second half was quickly cancelled out by West Swindon and it took goals from Lee Breakspeare and Kevin Pocock to give Bassett a comfortable lead and although the visitors managed to retrieve one more goal after 25 minutes, the U14's managed to hang onto their slender lead and earn two valuable points.
