Provisional information regarding lifting of lockdown restrictions

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Football Club intends to resume football activities on Wednesday 2 December, allowing its teams back to train.

However, it must be stressed that the resumption of other football activities is still contingent upon further clarification from the Football Association, who are still waiting for feedback from the government specifically on travel between the three tiers that have been introduced in England. This impacts more on our adults teams who travel further afield than our youth section sides.

Later this week, once guidance has been received from the FA, the club will publish an updated Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

The following matters can, however, already be confirmed:

Special training schedule – Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 December:

In order to allow all teams to train before the resumption of matches, a special training schedule has been agreed for the week covering Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th December.

The special schedule is as follows:

Wednesday 2 December

6-7pm: Under 11 Blue and Yellow and Under 12 Yellow
7-8pm: Under 12 Blue and Under 13 Blue and Yellow

Thursday 3 December

6-7pm: Under 15 Blue and Yellow and Under 16 Girls
7-8pm: Under 16 Blue and Yellow and Under 18s
8-10pm: First and Development teams

Friday 4 December

5.30-6.30pm: Under 9 Girls and Under 14 Blue and Yellow

Saturday 5 December

9-10am: Under 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s
1.30-2.30pm: Under 18s

Sunday 6 December

2-4pm: Ladies

These times will apply for this week ONLY. Normal training times will then apply week commencing 7 December.

There will be NO free Saturday Skills or SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Sessions on Saturday 5 December.

Please note NO spectators will be allowed at training sessions.

Sports Association Clubhouse open for takeaway only

Due to the fact Wiltshire has been placed into Tier 2, it can be confirmed that further restrictions will be in place at the Sports Association clubhouse at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

The clubhouse will therefore be offering a takeaway service ONLY, with the sale of the usual hot drinks and snacks, as well as some Christmas specials including mulled wine.

The bar area will otherwise NOT be in use for and members and visitors will NOT be allowed to consume items they purchase inside. Instead, they MUST follow the one-way system that is in place.

It is expected that the clubhouse will be open to purchase takeaway items from the following times:

Mondays: From 5pm
Tuesdays: From 5.30pm
Wednesdays: From 5pm
Thursdays: From 5pm
Fridays: From 5.30pm
Saturdays: 9am – 4pm
Sundays: 9am – 4pm

Please note that closing times are still to be determined, while opening times are subject to change according to demand.

Outside toilets will be available to use at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.
