There's a double dose of league cup action for Royal Wootton Bassett Town this weekend with the Men's and Women's First Team sides both looking to advance in what are tough knockout tests.
On Saturday the Men's First Team host Westfields in the third round of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup (Swindon Mercedes Stadium, Gerard Buxton Sports Ground, 3pm kick off).
Westfields currently sit third in the Hellenic League Premier Division table as they look set to be in the playoff mix. But Bassett beat them when the teams met in Hereford earlier this season courtesy of an Ed Oatley goal - and Jonny Aitkenhead's side will be aiming to repeat that outcome when they meet in knockout action.
Admission is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and free for RWBTFC youth members.
On Sunday the Women's First Team visit AEK Boco in the quarter finals of the South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division Cup (2pm kick off).
The opening round of the competition thanks to the league's decision to run a tier five only competition (rather than one covering both tier five and six teams), both Bassett and Boco will be seeking to translate their solid league form into the cup.
Bassett secured a 2-1 victory at home when they met on the opening day of the league campaign.
Also this weekend, Saturday sees the Development team return to Wiltshire League Premier Division action as they make a derby visit to Purton Kingsdown on Saturday (2pm kick off).
Josh Connolly's team secured a stunning come from behind 4-3 win in the cup against Purton just a fortnight ago - and will be hoping for another victory to extend their slender advantage over their local rivals in the league.
