The Town's match with Swindon Cricklade Road in the second round of the Swindon Brotherhood Cup Competition on Saturday was marred by the fact that A. Embling, after having scored three goals for the Town, was sent off the field by the referee. All the visiting players were under 18 years of age and, despite the fact they showed plenty of pluck, the Town won by 13 goals to 1. The scorers for the Town were F. Perry (4), S. Gleed (3), A. Embling (3), H. Bartlett, A. Compton and F. Drury; and Cook netted for the visitors.

Tomorrow, Wootton Bassett Town will be visited by Swindon Congregationalists in Division 1 of the Borough League, and their team will be: D. Whittaker; F.C.W. Drury and R. Beazley; R. Fields, D. Bull , J.G. Fry;E.B. Bull, F.F. Perry, S. Gleed, H. Bartlett, A. Compton. On Christmas Day the Town will visit Purton and the return match will be on Boxing Day.
