The match at Wootton Bassett on Saturday was one of dire misfortune for Swindon Congregationalists, who provided the opposition in a Borough League match. Three of their players were badly hurt and a doctor had to be called on two occasions Wright and A.I. Norman were carried off the field and before the end Selwood, the goalkeeper, retired limping badly. The Town were the heavier side, and won 6 goals to 1. The scorers for Wootton Bassett were S. Gleed (2), Compton (2), Bartlett and Perry, and Birks netted for the visitors.
