Travelling to Stanley Park Chippenham for the preliminary round of the League Cup. Despite the early start and heavy rain, the players settled down to play some good football, and were 2-0 up at half time, thanks to a skillfully headed goal from Joe Martin on his debut and Charlie O'Brien scoring his first of the season. The second half saw Bassett really command the play and with Joe and Charlie adding to their first round strikes, James Young, Billy Richardson and Jack Rossi also scored and the team progressed to the next round of the cup, with a 7-1 win.
