Bassett Cruise To Victory With A Disciplined Show

Right where do we start with this one? South Swindon was Bassett's first opponents in this one-sided cup match, when they saw the draw they must have thought let's concentrate on the league.

I would have been happy with a 10 nil win today but when the team started we knew it would be more. The new formation of this season looks good with the results against the U14's earlier on this week and how they started today we cruised to a 30 nil win.

Today was all about how the lads would play after they were comfortably in the lead we wanted to see how disciplined they would be. To keep playing football and keep pressing for more, Steve and Myself were more than happy with the way they played and kept chasing the game for more.

It was pleasing to see a lot of good waited chips, and good passing especially in tri- angles today and lets hope there's more to come next week and the following weeks to come.

The lads all played well today with goals coming left, right and centre at a sorry Swindon side, but to be fair most of their team kept going until the final whistle which was a credit to them.

The goals started as early as the 3rd minute with Jonathan opening the scoring and Danny scoring the last one straight from the corner on 68 minutes, If I counted right we must have scored a goal every 2 shots we had so that was really pleasing for the team to create that many chances.

I am going to mention 3 or 4 players today regarding the win, but all the team played well and played as a team, but Nick in his new role was pleasing to see with one of his better games for a long time with 7 goals to his name today but not just his goals but his running and off the ball work, Ryan with his passing around the box to allow other players to score and Jack for his passing game today it was pleasing to see, and Danny who worked hard and scored a good curling 1st goal of 2 today.

Well done to the team and once again we are pleased you kept to your game and kept your concentration to the end.
