Big win for Bassett U12's

Right from the kick off Bassett pressurized the Highworth goal with Highworth showing grit and determination and managing to block virtually every shot that Bassett had and that was quite a few! The opening came from a Highworth hand ball and Aidan Cressey coolly slotted home the penalty on 22 mins, Ryan Dowse doubled the lead on 27 mins with a fantastic shot (he later admitted that it was a miss hit cross, never admit to that Ryan). A superb cross from Gav Brown found first Anthony Mathews and then Bradley Bancroft competing for open goal miss of the day (later won by Ryan Campbell from 2 yards out), the ball carried through to Aidan who slotted home right on the stroke of half time, Bradley then showed that he could put a foot through an object by punting a water bottle some distance.

Having adjusted his shooting boots Bradley produced an outstanding display of striking prowess which saw him score 5 goals, strike the post and bar, have a goal disallowed for offside and produce a string of stunning saves from the Highworth Keeper. Bradley opened the second half scoring on 32 mins closely followed by Ryan Campbell on 33 mins. Bradley then bagged a fine brace on 39 and 41 mins before Scott Millward scored his 3rd goal of the season and his first in the opponents goal on 54 mins. Bradley then scored from a well struck shot that went in of the post on 56 mins and finished the scoring on the last seconds of the match to make it 0-10 to Bassett.

Man Of The Match Scott Millward.
