Under 12's open with a big win over Malmesbury

Malmesbury Youth had the better of the opening exchanges which resulted in a corner which was brilliantly defended by Bassett, Aidan Cressey picked up the ball in the middle of the park and then made a fantastic pass to Bradley Bancroft who used his pace to good effect and coolly slotted the ball home on 5 mins. Bassett then started to dominate Daniel Jones took a shot from outside the area, the goal keeper made a fantastic save and Daniel followed in to slot home the loose ball on 12 mins. The rest of the first half was pure Bassett pressure with Malmesbury only managing to get out of their own half on a hand full of occasions; in fact the Bassett keeper only touched the ball twice.

From the kick off Bassett came under pressure but managed to break into Malmesbury half, the ball broke to Daniel who drilled the ball in to the back of the net on 32 mins. Bassett then came under intense pressure as Malmesbury tried to claw their way back into the game. Once again Bassett broke away and another fantastic ball from Aidan picked out Bradley who coolly sprinted through the Malmesbury defence, and once again slotted the ball passed the goal keeper for another outstanding goal on 43 mins. Malmesbury continued to pile on the pressure which resulted in a fantastically struck shot which resulted in a goal for Matthew Coote on 55 mins which gave the goal keeper no chance. Ryan Campbell scored with a fantastically struck shot from inside the area on 57 mins. Daniel completed his hat trick with a shot from a tight angle on 59 mins.
