An excellent start for the season from the Under 16's as they just edged it against Gloucestershire side, Sherbourne Harriers, Bassett playing the whole game with just 10 men. The only goal of the game came in injury time in the first half when Tom James chased a through ball over the Sherbourne defence and just beat the Sherbourne keeper to the ball and lobbed it over him into the empty net. Bassett could and should have extended their lead as they created a number of chances with James and Tim Gleed both going close. Man of the match Zhenia Fogel also went close when he fired in an excellent shot from a long run from the back.
