After last weeks cup defeat we entered back into league action against last seasons winners Didcot town and gained a creditable 1-1 draw courtesy of a Syd Jackson second half goal after going a goal down through a debatable first half injury time penalty. The game saw the seasonal return of Justin Hyde who hit the woodwork in each half and also set up Syd's goal and led the front line very well throughout the match. The work rate of the side was superb and against a team that will again be challenging for the title it was an excellent performance and we could count ourselves unlucky not to have won the game.
