The leaders, Wootton Bassett failed to take advantage of a home fixture with Spencer Moultons last Saturday and so contributed to the league see-saw which has been another feature of the season. Though beaten they were not entirely deposed from the position but were joined by three others with equal points. Wootton Bassett could not be accused of having more than their share of luck in their game. Early on they "scored" a grand goal, but a "fine" offside decision rubbed it out. Then full-back Stuart King saw a ball brush off his breast into his own net. Still the Town had their chances but did not take them. In fact their general form was not up to that of the previous week and Spencer's hung on to their slender 2-1 lead to underline their recent good performances.
