It looks very much as though Wootton Bassett are going to make their presence felt in Wilts League football this season. Their opening match on Saturday was against Warminster Town and they romped home by four goals to nil. Brown scored all the goals getting two in each half.

The Town journey to Westbury in a Wiltshire League match tomorrow and the team will be: E.A.R. Palmer; A.E. March, F.C.W Drury; R.W. Brown, H. Clark, J.G. Fry; F. Childs, F.F. Perry, A. Embling, S. Gleed, R.J. Beazley.

The second eleven will open their Swindon Borough League programme and will receive a visit from Swindon North Leaze. The team will be: A. Arthurs; C. Jones, J. Osbourne; J. Beasant, Atkins, J. Brown; F. Davies, R. Arthurs, Pickett, H. Woolford, E. Pearce.
