Wootton Bassett Town Reserves were heavily defeated by Chippenham Congregationals at the Sports Ground in the first round of the Calne and District Knockout Cup Competition, the visitors winning very comfortably by 8 goals to nil. P. Walters and R. Stinchcombe performed the "hat trick" and R. Townsend and L. Roberts scored the other two goals.
