The Reserves suffered their first Calne and District League defeat, their visitors from Lyneham being a much stronger combination. Goals were registered in the first half by Cole and S. Matthews, and the second half scorers were Marshall and C. Matthews. With only a few minutes to go F. Munns netted for the Reserves. Result: Lyneham 4 Wootton Bassett Reserves 1.

The Reserves will open their Calne and District League programme with Lyneham as their visitors, and the home team will be: S. Rex; H. G. Gleed and H. Clarke; F. Taylor, R. Beazley and F.G. Fry; Gemmell, D. Bull, M. Twine, F. Childs and F. Munns. Reserves – A. Hunt, F. Tyler, J. Leighfield and S. Taylor.
