Royal Wootton Bassett Town suffered last minute derby agony as Reuben Githua snatched victory for Fairford Town with a late, late winner.

A scrappy game that was rather low on quality and action - certainly not helped by the drought-induced bone dry, bouncy pitch - it appeared as though the teams would have to settle for a goalless draw.

However, with stoppage time looming Githua pounced, producing a well taken finish from an angle after Bassett failed to clear properly from a long throw.

Despite two solid defensive displays in their last two outings, the result means Bassett are still in search of an opening win of the season with a trip to Cinderford Town to come on Saturday.
