Honours were even when Wootton Bassett Town Ladies hosted Bristol and West, currently sitting third in Gloucestershire County Women's League Division One, as a stunning Sam Wood free kick was cancelled out late in the second half by the visitors.

A tough, midfield battle was brought to life five minutes before half time as good play on the left wing between Emily Bogg and Sophie Harper led to the former being clipped just outside the box. Wood stepped up to take the resulting free kick and curled a superb effort into the top right corner.

'Keeper Sarah Humphries was forced into some good saves in the second half and was eventually beaten fifteen minutes from time as a finely struck shot flew past her.

Towards the end Laura Jefferies came close to making it all three points for Bassett, but she curled her free kick narrowly over the bar.
