While it may not be as noteworthy as their three consecutive runners-up finishes, Wootton Bassett Town Ladies' 2012/13 campaign - their first in Gloucestershire County Womens' League Division One - has been just as impressive.

And a 4-2 victory at Gloucester City Reserves in their penultimate match of the season underlined that fact, as it ensured Bassett of fourth place.

Megan Tidy led the way for the visitors with a brace, while top scorer April Polden - notching her 19th goal of the season - and Katy Edwards also netted.

Bassett finish with a home fixture against third place AEK Boco on May 5th and have the chance to narrow the final gap between the two sides to just three points.

Considering Boco have been in the title hunt for the majority of the year, that would be some way to crown off another brilliant campaign.
