What a glorious way to spend a afternoon in the last strands of the October autumnal sun.........and to raise you blood pressure a bit too...

Our midfield probably will want a rest, a bath of radox, and the next game in defence........that running and effort lark.........So Rhino, and Beefy defied Liden again and again to ensure that the Liden strikers did not get a shout, let alone a shot.........great effort........and ensured that our front line The Goughmeister.......did what he does best.........turn defenders and their managers prematurely grey.....................name on the scoresheet too......good man. From the top of the field to the other top half MJ bravely did his stuff and did not allow his line to be breeched........

We did ever so well to grind out a 1 - 0 victory. Liden are probably the best team we have faced so far, and with more than a degree of street smartness about their physical play we did ourselves proud to keep on picking ourselves off the floor, dusting off the grass cuttings, and make sure that Liden came to Rylands with nothing more than the journey home to looki forward too. You look at teams like Liden and don't really see a chink in thier armour......as we and others get more and more experience behind us, it is harder to see who is the lesser player than the others. Players mature in their positions, and make it their own, new players come to a team and bring something to the table.....today George, Ben and Pugs gave a fantastic show of what they bring, and what they could develop into. (Luke.....you are included here too!!!!)........Archie and Cade have cemented themselves well and did well today, in the hardest match they have faced for quite a while.........but they did not falter.

Hopefully we can continue on this form, with two hard matches to follow.......Wroughton and then Penhill. As I write this we sit on top of the league........lets enjoy it while it lasts, its up to us to keep that teamwork thing going, and perhaps, perhaps we can keep a good thing going.
