Double League Champions reporting back to duty for the 1st game of the long season ahead and what a start, winning 8 goals to nothing.

What we thought was going to be hard encounter today when we only just scrapped in last season 1 nil against this team, was clearly forgotten as the whistle went. The lads have trained hard all summer and had some great results in pre season which have made them harder and more of a team unit.

From the 1st whistle the team had instructions of what to do and how play, and by god they did not disappoint me or the parents, what a joy to watch them play at their best, even the parents and coaches from the adults teams next to us said they play fantastic football.

The team played with width, strength and their passing was clinical than ever before, this is now where they need to set their targets for the rest of the season, I challeange them to play that kind of football week in week out, it's up to you boys????

The football was going from wing to wing, down the middle, back to the keeper and the work rate was excellant, Callum had a good game along with Ellis who looks like he has never been away from this postion of keeper, and Danny has impressed me with his football and to be fair what a screemer of a goal, right from kick off (2nd half) the lads played around 20 touches switiching it around came out to Danny and he let rip with a 20 yarder straight into the top corner of the opposide side to him, that set the stall out for the 2nd half.

To be fair I can mention all the team, they all played out of their skins and what a GREAT TEAM EFFORT. Two good team debuts by Mani and Tino and it will take time for them to adjust on how we play but as each game goes by they will adjust so all in all a good day at the office.
