The first 20 minutes of the first half was keenly fought and Bassett defended well and managed to get some play down to the Swindon Spitfire's end. Then Swindon Spitfires managed to get through Wootton Bassett's defence and were able to score. This then led to the Swindon Spitfires scoring two further goals in quick succession.

In the second half Swindon Spitfires increased the pressure and despite some good defence and goalie saves, the Swindon Spitfires were too strong for Wootton Bassett and scored a further five goals, making the final score 8 to Swindon Spitfires and 0 to Wootton Bassett. The girl of the match for Wootton Bassett Town was Ellie Kaye for giving her all in defence and midfield.
