The 2026-27 Hellenic League Premier Division campaign gets underway on Saturday - and Royal Wootton Bassett Town open their season on the road away against Hallen (3pm kick off).

The game pits the teams who finished last season 15th and 16th against one another - and both Hallen and Bassett will be looking to make an early mark as they seek improvement in this campaign.

There's plenty of reason for both sides to be optimistic that they can achieve that. Despite their bottom half league finish, Hallen advanced to the semi finals of the FA Vase last year, demonstrating the quality in their squad. Meanwhile, Bassett have had an aggressive summer in the transfer market, strengthening and adding vital experience to their squad.

Bassett will also be aiming the 6-3 defeat they suffered away at Hallen last season - and record their first victory on their travels against their opponents.

There's then friendly action for the Women's First Team and Men's Development team.

On Sunday the Women's First Team entertain Oxford City Development in their second fixture ahead of the start of the South West Regional Women's Football League Premier Division campaign (Gerard Buxton Sports Ground AGP, 2pm kick off).

And on Saturday the Development team finish their preparations for the beginning of the Wiltshire League Premier Division season with a visit to Gloucestershire Northern Senior League side Bibury (3pm kick off).
