Wednesday 1st July 2026

Fixtures for the 2026-27 Hellenic League Premier Division season have been released.

Entering their 14th consecutive campaign in the division, and 20th overall, Royal Wootton Bassett Town will face a bumper 40 matches.

And Jonny Aitkenhead's side will see their campaign begin with an away trip on Saturday 1 August to Hallen.

Bassett host Wiltshire rivals Bradford Town in their home opener on Wednesday 5 August.

Following FA Cup and FA Vase fixtures, August then sees two further derbies away at Fairford Town (Tuesday 18 August) and Devizes Town (Monday 31 August, bank holiday), with a home clash against Thornbury Town in between (Saturday 29 August).

What else to look forward to

Derby dates and bank holiday fixtures

Bassett are set to face seven derbies this season after the promotions of Devizes and Malmesbury Victoria and Bradford's lateral transfer. They join fellow Wiltshire rivals Highworth Town and Corsham Town as well as cross-border rivals Cirencester Town and Fairford Town.

Bassett will host Cirencester (Saturday 15) and Corsham (Saturday 26) in September before welcoming Malmesbury (Wednesday 14 October) and visiting Highworth (Tuesday 20 October) the following month.

November sees one derby - a home clash with Fairford (Saturday 14 November).

Then in December Bassett welcome Devizes (Saturday 19) before visiting Corsham a week later on Boxing Day.

Bassett are due to visit Bradford at the end of February (27 February).

Three derbies are then set for spring - away at Malmesbury (Saturday 13 March), at home against Highworth (Easter Monday 29 March) and a final day trip to Cirencester (Saturday 17 April).

New opponents

Bassett will face Worcestershire side Stourport Swifts for the first time ever in 2026-27.

The teams will square off twice late in the season. Bassett are due to visit Stourport on Saturday 20 February before welcoming them to the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Saturday 3 April.
