Wootton Bassett went close to providing a first class shock in the Extra Preliminary of the FA Amateur Cup on Saturday. They were on terms at two goals each with Westbury – on the United's ground – at the end of ninety minutes, but fell away in extra time to go down fighting by four goals to two. Capper and Dudley (own goal) scored for the losers.
