With the season only a fortnight old many junior clubs who had visions of a good run in the FA Cup competition have already had their hopes dashed.

Several Wiltshire teams were among West of England entries which took part in the Extra Preliminary Round of the National competition on Saturday and they had mixed experiences.

Pewsey Vale scored two second half goals to administer the K.O. to Wootton Bassett, on the latter's ground.
