Wootton Bassett Town Reserves said goodbye to Rylands Way on a high note, booking their place in the President's Cup semi final with a fine 3-1 victory against Thame United.

Leading the way for Bassett was Lewis Chatwin, who netted a brace.

It was Lee Smith who gave Simon Paish's team the lead midway through the opening period, before Chatwin quickly doubled the advantage.

The speedster then gave Bassett an unassailable 3-0 lead, netting shortly after the restart.

Thame grabbed a late consolation with four minutes remaining, but that was too little, too late as Bassett secured a deserved victory.

Now the last four awaits. And with just one defeat since November, perhaps silverware beckons too - something that would crown another excellent season for Bassett's second string.
