Bassett hold out for win

Bank Holiday Monday saw us get our first win of the season at Cheltenham Saracens. For the fourth game in a row I had to make changes due to players being unavailable. Cheltenham Saracens ground share with Harrow Hill in the Forest of Dean and on a poor surface we battled for the three points.

Martin Cooper making his first start of the season finished 90 minutes for the first time for a long time. Pleasing for him he scored our second with a speculative 25 yard volley after Ben Parsons had given us the lead. A lapse in concentration allowed Saracens a goal in the second half but unlike our first three games we dug in and ground out the points.
