Wantage Town Reserves were the visitors to the local Reserves in a Swindon and District League match. In the first halt Coward gave the visitors the lead from a penalty kick after Clarke had fouled an opponent. The home team, against the wind, could do but little, and Wallis scored again for the Berkshire side before the interval.

In the second half Rufey, who had been a hard worker at inside right, reduced the arrears, but further goals were scored for Wantage by Major and Higgs. An outstanding player in the home team was A J. Hunt, who performed splendidly in goal. Wantage won by 4 goals to 1 The Reserves will visit Moredon Athletic in a Swindon and District League fixture, and will be represented by: A. J. Hunt; G. Edwards and E. Fry: C. Archer, M. Twine and A. W. Clarke, H. Rufey, F. Tuck, E. Hunt, D. Bell and F. Munns.
