Bassett stage amazing second half comeback to win 4-3 from 3-0 down

A hard fought fight back saw the Under 8′s win there 2nd consecutive game 4-3 away to Ramsbury.

Ramsbury having recently formed a team played well at times with some good play through the centre of Bassett, and was rewarded by an early goal. This however did not shock Bassett into the game who soon found themselves 2-0 down. With halftime fast approaching all seemed lost when Ramsbury were again able to play right through the Bassett defence and slot the ball past Reece going in at half time 3-0 up.

With some harsh words at half time by Jamie, Bassett came out fighting with some good attacking play by William and Miles, the Ramsbury goal was soon under fire, and Bassett were able to pull one back by William.

Again from kick off Bassett were on the attack straight away from Josh having some chances and soon was rewarded with a well taken 2nd goal for William. With the game only 15 minutes each way some fast play was required and with William again clear on goal he was brought down in the penalty area. With the penalty awarded William himself stood up and fired home a well-earned equaliser into the right hand corner giving him a well-earned hat trick.

With the confidence in the team rising and good defending by Callum and Wills with good play from Josh and Louis, William was able to run clear and slot the ball home giving him and Bassett a well fought 4th goal and victory.
