With Jamie being away the lads drew the short straw to have Adi and Steve as coaches for today′s game.

The game started today quite well with Bassett on the attack from the whistle, The defence of Callum and JD coped well when the ball was in their half with Reece only having to touch the ball once or twice during the First half.

George Dow on the Left and William on the right wing with Miles playing in the centre created chance after chance with shots coming thick and fast but if it was not for the away teams goalkeeper Bassett would have been 5 or 6 up by half time.

Bassett had Jake up front on his own but by his standards was not getting the ball enough from his team mates, who need to pass at times to open up the other team but when they did there was some good passing between them.

Bassett had a corner just before half time when Miles delivered the corner for William near post to flick the ball past the unsuspecting keeper to make it a deserved 1-0 bringing this game into halftime.

2nd half brought a few changes to see how they would cope in different positions, Callum & JD came off to be replaced by Jordan & Wills, George Dow moved into centre with Miles on the wing whilst William went up to the front to use his strength.

Bassett again created a few chances and some cracking shots but once again their Keeper had a blinding game, all of a sudden Bassett put some good passing together and William found himself clear to score his 2nd of the day, Bassett then went to sleep at the back and put themselves under pressure and scored an own goal to bring the score line to 2-1 to Bassett.

That′s how it stayed for the rest of the game with Bassett controlling most of the play with Purton Westbrook coming close at times but overall a comfortable win.
