Having played this team in a friendly a few months ago and the score being 1-1, we knew what to expect today, but more importantly what we had to do to come away with a win.

Sarah rejoined us in goal today, Emma and Felicity as usual at back, Emily, Sophie Knight, Rosie in midfield, the return of Rebecca as striker and Sophie Jones as sub.

The game started well with fluent passes from this strong midfield, Rosie worked well and made good attempts with not only winning the ball, but making her way down the wing with strong passes through to Rebecca who scored the first of our goals early on. This made such a good impact on the game, that within minutes the 2nd was scored by Rebecca also. Rosie suffered an injury with her nose and was replaced with Sophie Jones.

Half time was called with the score at 2-0, Sarah came out on pitch and Emily into goal. No other changes were made.

The first half made us hungry for more goals, so with Sarah on pitch in the second half, we dominated and used this advantage. Emily played well as temporary keeper and showed good ball to hand/foot skills, she wasn′t threatened, as most of the game play was with our midfield, the defence was strong as usual when required, but were also rewarded with rests now and then and before long Sarah made some good runs and finished off with goals to add to the finishing score.

The team played excellently today, they made some good tackles and felt confident in their game play, we needed that win today, so in turn giving us points and taking us slowly up the league table again.
