Bassett shoot down Spitfires

This was always going to be a tough match against Swindon Spitfires but the girls had to prove they had bouncebackability from the defeat the week before which they defiantly did. From the first whistle to the last the girls played with 100% commitment, they were solid at the back, and there was great team spirit throughout the team. It was Emily Dixon to score the first goal for Bassett from distance. As soon as Bassett scored Spitfires were pressing forward more and more, unfortunately a lucky shot floated over Leah Blanchard to level the score. Bassett did not sit back on this and pressed forward again to try and get the winning goal. Finally the break through came about 5 minutes from time from Samantha Wood's corner the ball was deflected in at the near post from a Swindon Spitfire defender.

Well done girls you deserved the win!
