Wootton Bassett Under 13's kept in touch with the league leaders with a hard earned win over a spirited Gunners Boys side. Bassett started the brighter of the two sides and could have taken the lead but for some excellent goalkeeping from the Gunners Boys Number 1. Despite a number of good chances for both sides, the game remained goalless at half time.

At the interval Bassett introduced substitute Dan Lewis and within five minutes he had found the net to put Bassett in front. Until the goal the game had been an even contest but the goal gave the Bassett side confidence and they took the game to the home side. Five minutes from the end Tom Walkley made sure of the points when he scored following a good passing move which opened up the home sides defence. A close game but Bassett had that little bit extra and went home with all three points.
