Goalkeeper Harrison Ellis and defender Sam Ockwell were named as the joint winners of Royal Wootton Bassett Town's September Player of the Month award.

They were presented with their prize ahead of Saturday's Hellenic League Premier Division fixture against Reading City.

Both are new signings and were extremely impressive in the opening month of the season. In particular, they both played a crucial role in Bassett's record-matching run to the Emirates FA Cup second round.

Ellis saved vital penalties in shootout victories against Chipping Sodbury Town in the Extra Preliminary round and Cinderford Town in the First Qualifying round.

Ockwell, meanwhile, scored twice and put in a man of the match display in the 2-1 Preliminary round win away against Didcot Town and was also on target in the penalty shoots in the preceding and subsequent rounds. Although taking place in October, Ockwell also gave Bassett the lead in their narrow Second Qualifying round loss at home against Oxford City.
