Penalty two minutes from time sees Bassett defeated

At Chippenham on Saturday afternoon in windy weather: Shortly after the commencement a penalty was awarded the visitors, Pinfield handling, and Hutchins scored. Chippenham soon equaliser through Coller. The wind played havoc with the ball, and the players on neither side were sure of their shooting. In the second moiety the Chippenham men showed the best form, though they had the strong wind against them, and Bence found the net from a good pass by Tadd. The visitors brought off a good run, and scored easily, thus placing themselves on an equality ten minutes from time. In the concluding stages Chippenham was awarded a penalty kick, and Tadd, who took the kick, safely steered the ball into the net. This was within two minutes of the finish. It was the second meeting between the teams to decide this match. On the first occasion the referee stopped the game owing to fog which was unfortunate for Wootton Bassett, as it was one of the only two occasions this season when it looked likely to win.
