Royal Wootton Bassett U15s produced an outstanding attacking performance to secure an emphatic 8-0 home league victory over Ashton Keynes, a side they had not faced since U12 level.

Bassett made a flying start, taking the lead inside two minutes when Elsie drove forward and found Ava, who fired home. Mia's introduction brought a shift in midfield and helped Bassett find their attacking rhythm. Ava then turned provider, setting up Mia to make it 2-0 following some excellent football.

Just five minutes later, Skye's quick throw-in found Mia, who produced a sublime strike into the top corner. Mia then turned provider on the stroke of half-time, squaring the ball for Eryn to finish and make it 4-0.

The second half continued in the same fashion. A pinpoint through ball from Lily L sent Mia through to score her second, before she set up Poppy at the far post for Bassett's sixth. Following another excellent team move involving Eryn, Mia pounced on a loose ball, with Ava getting the final touch to make it seven. Mia rounded off a terrific morning by scoring her fourth of the game, calmly finishing after Poppy turned provider.

It was a fantastic all-round performance, with Bassett showing quality in possession, attacking intent and excellent teamwork. The victory also secured a second consecutive clean sheet.

Player of the Match: Elsie – Recognised for an excellent defensive display, with Izzy also delivering a particularly strong performance.

Second Player of the Match: Maya – Awarded for her outstanding all-round work rate and contribution in midfield.

An excellent morning for Bassett as they now turn their attention to next week's County Cup tie at home to Nalgo Wolves.
